11Chapter 1: Product OverviewIntroductionThe NCR 7453 Workstation is based on standard PC technology and isdesigned to satisfy the diverse needs of the retail environment,particularly in the areas of hospitality and food distribution.The workstation features a Series 4000 Pentium III or Celeron 64-Bit686, or 32-Bit 586 processor board with APM compatible BIOS. Thepower management strategy is developed around the Intel/MicrosoftAdvanced Power Management (APM) specification.1. Class 1xxx and 7453-2xxx workstations contain 586 and 686processors respectively. The Class 35xx contains a 686 main processorboard with an on-board VGA LCD port. The Series 4xxx workstationscontain Pentium III or Celeron processors.Note: Workstations equipped with 586- and 686-processors aredesignated by "Class" (i.e., Class 1xxx, 2xxx, 3xxx and 35xx).
