11Chapter 1: Product OverviewIntroductionThe NCR <strong>7453</strong> Workstation is based on standard PC technology and isdesigned to satisfy the diverse needs of the retail environment,particularly in the areas of hospitality and food distribution.The workstation features a Series 4000 Pentium III or Celeron 64-Bit686, or 32-Bit 586 processor board with APM compatible BIOS. Thepower management strategy is developed around the Intel/MicrosoftAdvanced Power Management (APM) specification.1. Class 1xxx and <strong>7453</strong>-2xxx workstations contain 586 and 686processors respectively. The Class 35xx contains a 686 main processorboard with an on-board VGA LCD port. The Series 4xxx workstationscontain Pentium III or Celeron processors.Note: Workstations equipped with 586- and 686-processors aredesignated by "Class" (i.e., Class 1xxx, 2xxx, 3xxx and 35xx).
