Chapter 4: Hardware Service 4-23Connect to PowerSupply ConnectorClass 35xx 68617923Replacing Processors (<strong>7453</strong>-4xxx)The Series 4xxx Motherboard uses a Pentium III or Celeron processor.When replacing the processor, the heat sink and fan assembly mustalso be replaced. Processor replacement kits include a processor, and aheat sink and fan assembly. To replace these parts, use the followingprocedure.1. Remove the Base Unit Top as explained in Disassembly Procedures.2. Identify the processor's location (refer to Motherboard illustrationsearlier in this section).3. Remove any components that may obstruct removal of theprocessor.4. Unplug the fan connector.5. Unhook heat sink and fan assembly by pushing in, down, and in onthe clip as shown in the following illustration.
