Chapter 4: Hardware Service 4-17DIMM MemoryThe Series 4xxx main processor board uses DIMM memory.Note: Memory modules from previously released boards will notwork with the Series 4xxx main processor board. The Series 4xxx mainprocessor board only supports DIMM memory.Installing the DIMM MemoryThe Series 4xxx includes a 64 MB DIMM memory module. The Series4xxx supports up to three DIMM modules.To install the DIMM in the main processor board, follow these steps:1. Remove the Cover.2. Locate the DIMM socket closest to the edge of the board and openthe latches at the edge of the socket.3. Align the DIMM in the socket and push it straight down (1).4. Ensure that the edges of the DIMM engage the latches.5. Close the latches (2).6. To install a second DIMM, open the latches on the middle DIMMsocket. Repeat Steps 2-4.7.
