GeneralImportantInformation1.1 Note on ConformityThis product has been tested for conformityaccording to the appropriate directives as laiddown by the European Union and has beenfound to conform to all the required specifications.EN1.2 General Notes• These Installation and Operating Instructionsform an integral part of the unit. They mustbe kept close to the unit at all times. Preciseobservance of these instructions is a preconditionfor use of the unit for the intendedpurpose and for its correct operation.New personnel must be made aware of thecontents, and they should be passed on tofuture operating staff.• Safety for the operator as well as trouble-freeoperation of the unit are only ensured if use ismade of original equipment parts. In addition,only those parts and accessories listedin the Installation and Operating Instructionsor specifically approved by Dürr Dental maybe used with this appliance. In the case thataccessories, parts or disposable materialsfrom third party suppliers are used, then DürrDental cannot guarantee the safe operation orsmooth running of the unit. No liability on thepart of the manufacturer will be accepted inthe case that damage arises through the useof non-approved accessories.• Dürr Dental are only responsible for the equipmentwith regard to safety, reliability and properfunctioning where assembly, resettings,changes or modifications, extensions andrepairs have been carried out by Dürr Dentalor an agency authorized by Dürr Dental and ifthe equipment is used in conformity with theInstallation and Operating Instructions.• These Installation and Operating Instructionsconform to the relevant version of the equipmentand the underlying safety standardsvalid at the time of going to press. All circuits,processes, names, software and appliancesquoted are protected under industrial propertyrights.• This translation of the Installation and OperatingInstructions has been carried out in goodfaith. The manufacturer bears no liabilities inthe case of a mistake in the translation. Theenclosed German version of the Installationand Operating Instructions is the original; inthe case of any confusion please consult yourdealer or our hotline service.• Any reprinting of the technical documentation,in whole or in part, is subject to prior approvalof Dürr Dental being given in writing.• Retain the packaging for possible return of theproduct to the manufacturers. Only the originalpackaging provides adequate protectionduring transport of the unit.• Should return of the product to the manufacturersbe necessary during the guaranteeperiod, Dürr Dental accepts no responsibilityfor damage occurring during transport wherethe original packaging was not used!Ensure that the packaging is kept out of thereach of children.1.3 Disposal of applianceAppliance• The EU-guidlines 2002/96/EG - WEEE(Waste Electric and Electronic Equipment) ) of27th January 2003 and the current integrationinto national law states that dental productscome under the above-mentioned guidelinesand, within the European Union, are subject tospecial disposal measures.Image plateWhen disposing of image plates observe localand regional rules and regulations.If you have any questions concerning disposalof the product, please contact Dürr Dental oryour specialist dental supplier.1.4 Notes concerning medicalappliances• This product is a technical medical applianceand, as such, may only be operated bysuch persons who, as a result of training orexperience, can be confidently expected tooperate it correctly and safely for patients andstaff alike.• Do not lie multi-socket units on the floor.Observe standard EN 60601‐1‐1 when usingmulti-socket units.• Other systems should not be plugged into thesame multi-socket unit.4
