The Economics of the Post-Sovietand Eurasian IntegrationIt is worth noting that not all the questions out of the sets were asked in eachcountry. This is connected mainly with differences in labour rates and the volumeof work involved in conducting nation-wide polls in different post-Soviet states.Using the complete version of the survey form in each country would result inan unjustified budget increase. Instead, an obligatory minimum was defined forall countries, and 9 indicators out of the initial set were measured in each ofthe 11 countries.Two different approaches were used when interpreting the collected data:• Study of individual common factors revealed in the distribution ofrespondents’ answers to each separate question.• Study of general tendencies revealed in composite indexes.Now let us take a closer look at the method of calculating consolidatedindexes.When constructing the indexes, only the questions which were asked in all 11countries were taken into account.
