20 EASTERN PARTNERSHIP CULTURE CONGRESS EASTERN PARTNERSHIP CULTURE CONGRESS 21Panel session„CULTURE FACING EDUCATION”14:00-15:30 Hotel Mercure Unia Lublin, 12 Racławickie AlleyModerated by: Milena Dragićević-ŠešićRobert Alagjozovski, Hana Cervinkova, JeanPierre Deru, Javier Galan, Levan Khetaguri,Małgorzata Litwinowicz, Hubert Łaszkiewicz,Ianina PrudenkoThere is no way you can talk about socialization and innovativenessin culture without education. In order to highlight the needfor culture reflecting and stimulating world changes, we challengeit to create new ideas, competences and tool action strategies. Tomake it real, a new culture educational process, encompassingthe artists and cultural animators, recipients of their activity andthose who would like to participate in those activities, is crucial.Especially the last group of cultural practitioners comes intoprominence in contemporary world. Zygmunt Bauman call them“auktors”, making a point that the necessity and aspiration of developingsocieties is the idea of being both, the author of ideas andtheir actor-practitioner.The new culture educational process carries along questions concerningnew competences, how to teach them and who should dothat. The debate on artistic and cultural studies reform, educationof their personnel, international academic cooperation in this field,is needed. Is it worth to think about network organization dealingwith development of this cooperation? What is the role of culturalcenters and other non-academic organizations, which are of crucialmeaning in the process of new forms of cultural education andtheir dissemination?Milena Dragićević-ŠešićProfessor of Cultural Policy,Cultural Management, Universityof Arts, Belgrade.
