CDVSC7 SIGNATURE & CDV7 Series COMMAND Gas Fireplace - CHECK GAS PRESSURE and ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION1. Check gas type. The gas supply must be the same asstated on the appliance’s rating decal. If the gas supplyis different from the fireplace, STOP! Do not install theappliance. Contact your dealer immediately.2. To ease installation, a 24" (610 mm) flex line withmanual shut-off valve has been provided with this appliance.Install and attach 1/2" gas line onto shut-offvalve.3. After completing gas line connection, purge air fromgas line and test all gas joints from the gas meter tothe fireplace for leaks. Use a solution of 50/50 waterand soap solution or a gas sniffer.4. To check gas pressures at valve, turn captured screwcounter clockwise 2 or 3 turns and then place tubingto pressure gauge over test point. Turn unit to high.Figure 53. After taking pressure reading, be sure andturn captured screw clockwise firmly to reseal. Do notover torque. This fireplace is equipped with the Signature Controlvalve which operates on 6 volts. The 6 volt DC adapterplugs into the fireplace junction box A/C power supply.Four (4) “AA” batteries are used for back up duringpower outages.2. The Signature Command System can also be operatedwithout A/C power. The system can run on four (4) “AA”batteries for approximately six (6) months under normaluse.3. A/C power must be used to power the A/C module,blowers, lights and AUX accessories if used with thisfireplace.Optional Accessory Requirements1. This fireplace may be used with a wall switch, wallmounted thermostat and/or Signature Command wirelesscontrols.2. Main power must be off whenconnecting to main electrical power supplyor performing service. All wiring shall bein compliance with all local, city and statecodes. The appliance, when installed, mustbe electrically grounded in accordance withlocal codes or in the absence of local codes,with the National Electrical Code ANSI/NFPA70 (latest edition) and Canadian ElectricalCode, CSA C22.1.Label all wires before disconnecting whenservicing controls.
