CDVSC7 SIGNATURE & CDV7 Series COMMAND <strong>Gas</strong> Fireplace - CHECK GAS PRESSURE and ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION1. Check gas type. The gas supply must be the same asstated on the appliance’s rating decal. If the gas supplyis different from the fireplace, STOP! Do not install theappliance. Contact your dealer immediately.2. To ease installation, a 24" (610 mm) flex line withmanual shut-off valve has been provided with this appliance.Install and attach 1/2" gas line onto shut-offvalve.3. After completing gas line connection, purge air fromgas line and test all gas joints from the gas meter tothe fireplace f<strong>or</strong> leaks. Use a solution of 50/50 waterand soap solution <strong>or</strong> a gas sniffer.4. To check gas pressures at valve, turn captured screwcounter clockwise 2 <strong>or</strong> 3 turns and then place tubingto pressure gauge over test point. Turn unit to high.Figure 53. After taking pressure reading, be sure andturn captured screw clockwise firmly to reseal. Do notover t<strong>or</strong>que. This fireplace is equipped with the Signature Controlvalve which operates on 6 volts. The 6 volt DC adapterplugs into the fireplace junction box A/C power supply.Four (4) “AA” batteries are used f<strong>or</strong> back up duringpower outages.2. The Signature Command System can also be operatedwithout A/C power. The system can run on four (4) “AA”batteries f<strong>or</strong> approximately six (6) months under n<strong>or</strong>maluse.3. A/C power must be used to power the A/C module,blowers, lights and AUX access<strong>or</strong>ies if used with thisfireplace.Optional Access<strong>or</strong>y Requirements1. This fireplace may be used with a wall switch, wallmounted thermostat and/<strong>or</strong> Signature Command wirelesscontrols.2. The appliance, when installed, mustbe electrically grounded in acc<strong>or</strong>dance withlocal codes <strong>or</strong> in the absence of local codes,with the National Electrical Code ANSI/NFPA70 (latest edition) and Canadian ElectricalCode, CSA C22.1.Label all wires bef<strong>or</strong>e disconnecting whenservicing controls.
