About Networked
Enterprises
The section Networked Enterprises focuses
on three themes, i.e. Enterprise
Architectures, Service Delivery and Innovation
Services.
Networked Enterprises considers innovation
within and by networks of
organizations. It considers three core
items, i.e. interaction and information
exchange between organizations in the
network, joint service delivery, and the
innovative capacity of the network of organizations.
With regard to cooperation between
organizations and joint service delivery,
the focus is on sectors with organizations
that have large information processing
activities such as the finance
sector, the public sector, and the health
sector. The knowledge area innovation
in networks has a much broader application
area. Companies innovating with
ICT play a central role.
Research Topics
Research within Networked Enterprises
revolves around three thematic areas:
Enterprise Architectures (EA) focuses
on innovations in method and modeldriven
development, semantic, technical
and organizational interoperability
and standardizations.
Service Delivery (SD) focuses on innovation
and improvement in services
delivery from organisations to customer
segments. Efficiency and effectiveness
are the scales of the balance in determining
the focus and designing the service.
