3rd ERCIS Entrepreneurs Award
“Launchpad” in Münster
The 3rd ERCIS Launchpad, a competition
for young founders of a company,
took place in Münster on the
27th of October 2010. This year, the
topic of the Award was Home Automation
and Integration, Smart Home
as well as Apps and the Internet. The
six competing teams, who had made
it through the pre-selection, had 10
minutes to convince the jury, led by
Prof. Dr. Gottfried Vossen, Prof. Dr.
Stefan Stieglitz, and PD Dr. Axel Winkelmann,
as well as the audience of
their idea. All teams had introduced
innovative and novel ideas and gave
professional presentations on topics
like “Green Online Places”, “Personal
Document Management” or “Virtual
3D-show rooms”.

creators of the ERCIS
Launchpad. Hence,
alongside the competition,
the organizers
invited several
speakers with practical
experience to
give the audience
background information
concerning
the foundation of a
company.
At the end, after a good deal of
thought, the jury declared the winning
team: Filee – a young team from
Münster that engages in the digital
administration of files and bills of

prizes and non-cash prizes, donated
by regional companies, and are now
equipped with a solid base for the
further development of their idea.
