10. Glue the skids on either side of the opening inthe lower wing so that the tips point upward.<strong>The</strong>y should project out from the downwardcurving front surface.10.11. Cut a piece <strong>to</strong> brace across the skids and glueit at the 30-degree joint. Make two braces <strong>to</strong>go from the upper wing <strong>to</strong> the eleva<strong>to</strong>r byjoining two <strong>to</strong>othpicks end <strong>to</strong> end and sideby side <strong>to</strong> form a longer <strong>to</strong>othpick, and thenmark them <strong>to</strong> the correct length by holdingthem between the upper wing and the skid,as shown. Allow enough <strong>to</strong> stick in<strong>to</strong> theupper wing, cut off the excess, and thensharpen the cut end. (If the Styrofoam isthin, do not sharpen the cut end.)11.12.
