Ferroggiaro Endowed ScholarshipAn endowed scholarship fund has been established by Fred A.Ferroggiaro in the name <strong>of</strong> his wife, Kathleen.Frank and Olivia Filippi Scholarship FundAn endowed fund established through the generosity <strong>of</strong> Frank and OliviaFilippi to assist entering students whose GPA is 3.5 or better and whomaintain a 3.25 GPA while at <strong>Saint</strong> Mary’s <strong>College</strong>. Preference will begiven in the award <strong>of</strong> this scholarship to sons and daughters <strong>of</strong> attorneysemployed by the firm <strong>of</strong> Mullen and Filippi.The Frank J. Filippi and Olivia C. Filippi Scholarship Fundfor Academic ExcellenceThe income <strong>of</strong> this fund shall be used to pay at least 50 percent <strong>of</strong> thetuition <strong>of</strong> each undergraduate who is awarded a scholarship. Scholarshipsshall be awarded on the basis <strong>of</strong> demonstrated academic achievement.At least one half <strong>of</strong> the money awarded from the fund shall be awardedto students in the second, third or fourth years at the <strong>College</strong>, and theremainder to first-year students. Each scholarship will be paid for a period<strong>of</strong> one year, but may, at the discretion <strong>of</strong> the <strong>College</strong>, be renewedfrom year to year upon satisfactory academic performance. The <strong>College</strong>may consider the financial needs <strong>of</strong> all student applicants but should becognizant <strong>of</strong> the great burden which college education places even uponmiddle-income families.Jerry and Dolores Fitzpatrick <strong>College</strong>-County Endowed Scholarship FundAn endowed scholarship fund established by the <strong>College</strong>-CountyScholarship Fund in honor <strong>of</strong> Jerry Fitzpatrick.Foley Estate Endowed Scholarship FundAn endowed scholarship fund established through the estate <strong>of</strong> Charlesand Marian Foley to benefit needy students.Ursil R. Foley Endowed Scholarship FundAn endowed scholarship fund, income from which will provide a partialtuitionscholarship for a student majoring in economics and/or businessadministration, first preference being given to students from the counties<strong>of</strong> Alameda and Nevada. This scholarship is in honor <strong>of</strong> Ursil R. Foley,class <strong>of</strong> 1924, and is made possible by his son, Donald Foley.Manuel T. and Maria Bettencourt Freitas Memorial Endowed ScholarshipAn endowed scholarship fund established in memory <strong>of</strong> the parents <strong>of</strong>Carlos R., Louis G., and Manuel T.
