The program is designed for students motivated to explorecritical business disciplines in greater depth, focus, and intensity. Theprogram utilizes the financial services industries as its integrating themeand is intended to prepare students for pr<strong>of</strong>essional careers in a variety<strong>of</strong> fields, including finance, as well as for graduate study in business, law,and other disciplines. Admission requires a major grade point average <strong>of</strong>at least 2.75 in a business administration program or special permission<strong>of</strong> the department chair.Interdisciplinary ElectivesChoose two courses from the following with at least one course chosen frompsychology, anthropology, or sociology:Philosophy 10 Plato and Philosophical InquiryPhilosophy 11 Aristotle and Philosophical MethodPsychology 1 Introduction to Personal-Social PsychologyPsychology 160 Social Psychology (Prerequisite: Psychology 1)Anthropology 1 Introduction to Social and Cultural AnthropologySociology 2 Introduction to SociologyAnthropology 112 Race and Ethnicity(Prerequisite: Anthropology 1 or Sociology 2)Anthropology 121 World Cultures(Prerequisite: Anthropology 1 or Sociology 2)Another approved upper-division Anthropology or Sociology courseEconomics 105 Micro-Economic Theory.See the chair <strong>of</strong> the Department <strong>of</strong> Business Administration for furtherinformation or to apply for admission.International ConcentrationThe international concentration is designed for students whose careerview extends beyond U.S. borders. It provides an opportunity to studyother countries, languages, and cultures, and includes the experience <strong>of</strong>living abroad.The concentration requires completion <strong>of</strong> the business administrationmajor courses, plus BusAd 180, International Business. Additionalrequirements are:• Two cross-cultural courses.• Two regional specialty courses.• Three college terms in a foreign language.• One term <strong>of</strong> the junior year abroad.A minimum GPA <strong>of</strong> at least 2.75 in the major is required in the Concentration.Students achieving at least a 3.0 GPA in the major shall receiveDepartment Honors in the Concentration.
