Computer Science / Cross-Cultural Studies CurriculumComputer ScienceSee Mathematics and Computer Science (p. 124).Cross-Cultural StudiesStudents who intend to pursue careers or graduate work in such fields as bilingual education, community services, orinternational relations, or who wish to broaden their program of studies, may petition to establish an interdisciplinarymajor in Cross-Cultural Studies. Such a major must include courses from at least three disciplines and consist of nineupper-division courses with at least two chosen from each of the three disciplines. Lower-division courses will dependupon the various disciplines chosen.For information regarding the composition of the interdisciplinary cross-cultural major, students should contact the chairsof the appropriate departments that form the major. The major must be approved by these department chairs and bythe dean of the School of Liberal Arts.Appropriate courses might be chosen from the departments of Anthropology/ Sociology, Economics, English, History,Modern Languages, Philosophy, Politics, and Psychology.83
