The Company is one of the promoter member of Birla Management Corporation Limited, a company limited by guarantee which hasbeen formed to provide a common pool of facilities and resources to its members, with a view to optimise the benefits of specialisationand minimise cost for each member. The Company’s share of expenses under the common pool has been accounted for under theappropriate heads.17 (a) Additional information required under paras 3,4C and 4D part II of Schedule VI to the Companies Act, 1956 is as per Annexure I.The details as required under para 3(i)(a) & 3(ii)(a) of Part II of Schedule VI of the Companies Act, 1956, have not been given inrespect of Insulator Division of the Company, the exemption having been obtained from the Ministry of Law, Justice and Companyaffairs (Department of Company affairs) Government of India, vide their order No. 46/88/2001/CL III dated 9.4.2001(b) All the figures have been rounded off to Rupees in Crores with two decimals as approved by the Central Government underSection 211(1) of the Companies Act, 1956.
