You can develop your careerprospects by studying productionprocesses with a distinctive focuson television and film creation andproduction . It offers the chance todevelop a deep understanding of theskills, processes, technologies andprinciples that underlie the mediaproduction chain. The modules cover fourhighly specialised areas (strands):Strand 1: Television and VideoProduction examines a range ofissues associated with moderntelevision and film productionincluding both processes andtechnologies ranging from videoacquisition, studio techniquesthrough to delivery of the finalproduct. Part of the TelevisionProduction module will bedelivered by the bbC Academyat their training center at WoodNorton in Worcestershire. As wellas theoretical work, extensivepractical experience withprofessional level equipment andfacilities is a feature ofthis degreeStrand 2: Audio Productionand Audio Systems moduleprovides the core knowledgeof audio capture, processing,and production, includingmono, stereo, and surroundrecording and production. Aspecial emphasis is placed onrecording and producing audiofor television and film.. The AudioSystems module concentrateson advanced topics includingadvanced binaural and surroundrecording, acoustics andpsychoacoustics, and generativeand interactive audio.
