Campbelltown (Sustainable City) Development Control Plan 2009The application has been assessed having regard to Council’s Campbelltown(Sustainable City) Development Control Plan 2009 (CSC DCP 2009). The aim of theplan is to identify objectives and design requirements for all aspects of developmentpermissible under Council’s LEPs and IDOs. The aims of the CSC DCP 2009 are:Ensure that the aims and objectives of any relevant EPI includingCampbelltown's LEPs and IDOs are complemented by the Plan;Ensure that the principles of ecological sustainability are incorporated into thedesign, construction and ongoing operation of development;Facilitate innovative development of high quality design and construction in theCity of Campbelltown;Ensure that new development maintains or enhances the character and qualityof the natural and built environment;Ensure that new development takes place on land that is capable of supportingdevelopment;Encourage the creation of safe, secure and liveable environments;Ensure that new development minimises the consumption of energy and otherfinite resources, to conserve environmental assets and to reduce greenhousegas emissions; andProvide for a variety of housing choices within the City of Campbelltown.It is considered that the proposal is compatible with the relevant aims of the plan.The following compliance Table details the assessment of the proposal pursuant tothe relevant requirements of the Campbelltown (Sustainable City) DevelopmentControl Plan 2009 (DCP 2009).
