The low value of DO (0.0 mg/l) is observed in the stretch ofNizamuddin toBateshwar.The BOD ranges from 0.2-41 mg/l in the entire length of river. The maximumvalue of 41 mg/ /l of BOD is observedat Mathura U/s. Theother locationsobserved maximum BOD are at Mazawali (36 mg/l), D/s of agra (29 mg/l), OkhlaBridge (Inlet ofAgra Canal) & Nizamuddin (26 mg/l), Mathura D/s(17mg/l), ,Vishramghat (Mathura)(15.4 mg/l), Etawah& Bateswar (15 mg/l),Kesighat, Vrindavan (14.4 mg/l), Shahpur(11.8 mg/l), Agra U/s (11 mg/l), JuhikaB/c with Chambal (Etawah) (7 mg/l), Allahabad D/s (Balua Ghat) (6.8 mg/l) ), U/sDak Patthar (5.8 mg/l),Wazirabad (4 mg/ /l), Sonepat (4 mg/l) and Allahabad(3.8mg/l).Faecal Coliform value ranges from 4-11 x 10 8 MPN/100ml whereas the TotalColiform value ranges from10-16 x108 MPN/100ml. The Total and FaecalColiforms count is considerably high anddoes not meet the criteria at most of themonitoring locations. The highest value of Faecal Coliform and Total Coliform isobserved at Okhla Bridge (Inlet of AgraCanal). The concentration of Nitrate+Nitritevaries from0-2.03 mg/l. The water quality ofRiver Yamuna with respectto Temperature, pH, DO, Conductivity,BOD, Nitrate +Nitrite, Total Coliform(TC) and Faecal Coliform (FC) is presented in Annexure-I Table 5.2.
