(We discuss asynchronousmirroring in Chapter 6, “Asynchronous Remote Mirroring” on page 149.)– Master CG / VolumeThis is the volume or consistency group at the local site to be mirrored. You can selectthe volume or consistency groups from a list. The consistency groups are shown inbold <strong>and</strong> they are at the end of the list.– Target <strong>System</strong>This is the <strong>XIV</strong> at the remote site that will contain the slave volumes. You can select thetarget system from a list of known targets.– Create slaveIf you have not yet created target volumes at the remote <strong>XIV</strong>, you can check mark theCreate Slave option. In this case you also must select the storage pool where thevolume must be created at the target <strong>XIV</strong>. This pool must already exit at the target <strong>XIV</strong>.The remote <strong>XIV</strong> will automatically create a target volume of the same size as thesource volume.If selected, the slave volume will be created automatically. If left unselected you mustcreate the volume manually.If you specified a consistency group instead of a volume this option is not available. Aslave consistency group must already exist at the remote site.– Slave PoolThis is the storage pool on the <strong>XIV</strong> at the remote site that will contain the mirrored slavevolumes.
