consistency group requires the volumes to be mirrored exactly as the other volumes withinthis consistency group.Important: All volumes that you want to add to a mirroring consistency group must bedefined in the same pool at the primary site <strong>and</strong> must be in one pool at the secondary site.It is possible to add a mirrored volume to a non-mirrored consistency group <strong>and</strong> have thisvolume retain its mirroring settings.To create a mirrored consistency group first create a CG on the primary <strong>and</strong> secondary <strong>XIV</strong><strong>Storage</strong> <strong>System</strong>. Then select the primary CG <strong>and</strong> specify Create Mirror (Figure 6-9).Figure 6-9 Create mirrored CGThe consistency group must not contain any volume when you create the mirror, <strong>and</strong> be sureto specify mirroring parameters that match the volumes that will be part of this CG, as shownin Figure 6-10.
