The Windows server is now ready to perform snapshot operations on the XIV StorageSystem. Refer to you application documentation for completing the VSS setup.The next section demonstrates how the Tivoli Storage FlashCopy Manager application usesthe XIV VSS Provider to perform a consistent point-in-time snapshot of the Exchange 2007and SQL 2008 data on Windows 2008 64bit.2.5 Installing and configuring Tivoli Storage FlashCopyManager for Microsoft ExchangeTo install Tivoli Storage FlashCopy Manager, insert the product media into the DVD drive andthe installation starts automatically. If this does not occur, or if you are using a copy ordownloaded version of the media, locate and execute the SetpFCM.exe file. During theinstallation, accept all default values.The Tivoli Storage FlashCopy Manager installation and configuration wizards will guide youthrough the installation and configuration steps. After you run the setup and configurationwizards, your computer is ready to take snapshots.Tivoli Storage FlashCopy Manager provides the following wizards for installation andconfiguration tasks:► Setup wizardUse this wizard to install Tivoli Storage FlashCopy Manager on your computer.► Local configuration wizardUse this wizard to configure Tivoli Storage FlashCopy Manager on your computer toprovide locally managed snapshot support. To manually start the configuration wizard,double-click Local Configuration in the results pane.► Tivoli Storage Manager configuration wizardUse this wizard to configure Tivoli Storage FlashCopy Manager to manage snapshotbackups using a Tivoli Storage Manager server. This wizard is only available when a TivoliStorage Manager license is installed.Once installed, Tivoli Storage FlashCopy Manager must be configured for VSS snapshotbackups. Use the local configuration wizard for that purpose. The configuration process for Microsoft Exchange Server is:1.
