Restriction: Volumes in a consistency group must be in the same storage pool. Aconsistency group cannot have volumes from different pools.Starting at the Volumes menu, select the volume that is to be added to the consistency group.To select multiple volumes, hold down the Ctrl key <strong>and</strong> click each volume. After the volumesare selected, right-click a selected volume to bring up the Operations menu. From there, clickCreate consistency group with these Volumes. Refer to Figure 1-32 for an example of thisoperation.Figure 1-32 Creating a consistency group with these VolumesAfter selecting the Create option from the menu, a dialog window appears. Enter the name ofthe consistency group. Because the volumes are added during creation, it is not possible tochange the pool name. Figure 1-33 shows the process of creating a consistency group. As in Figure 1-34, the twovolumes contained in the xiv_volume_copy pool are now owned by the xiv_db_cg consistencygroup.
