Progress on the project wasadversely affected because of non-payment both to thecontractor and the consultancy team. The project teamwithdrew personnel from the project without suspendingthe contract. Funding is required for the few project itemsthat are outstanding. Counterpart funding for this projecthad been allocated by Government and the funds wererequested during the 2010/2011 financial year, which todate they have not been released.CAMPUS RENEWALThe University funded the rehabilitation of the Library rooffrom the limited resources. This project is approximately60% complete. However, the project has been suspended dueto non-payment and delayed payments to the contractor.Funds for this project were requested from Government in2010/2011 and have not been released to date.MEMBERSHIP AND CONFERENCESThe University maintained its membership with theHigher Education Facility Management Association ofSouthern Africa (HEFMA).
