The research projects werein line with the Faculty’s research agenda. Two of the studieswere funded by the UNISWA Research Board.Research in ProgressTwelve research projects are in progress in the Faculty.Some of the studies are externally funded by organisationssuch as SADC-EU and ATPS.PUBLICATIONSNational JournalsTwo articles were published by two sets of staff in nationalpublications. One of the articles was on the sustainabilityof rural agricultural development projects undertakenby non-governmental organisations. The other was onconservation agriculture.International JournalsStaff continue to publish remarkably in internationaljournals. A total of 33 articles were published by staff ofthe Faculty in reputable international journals. While thesearticles were in line with the Faculty’s research agenda theyalso had international relevance.National WorkshopsFive papers were presented in national workshops andseminars.International WorkshopsStaff presented 15 papers in international workshops.CONSULTANCYThree Faculty staff were involved in consultancies onagriculture, nutrition and horticulture.AWARDS, REGOGNITIONS & HONOURSProf A.M. Dlamini was awarded the ATPS ResearchFellow Status.The International Award for Outstanding GraduateStudent Paper Presentation in the 2011 WorldConference was awarded to Mngomezulu, M. L.;Mndebele, C.B.S. & Dlamini, B.M. (2011). for the paper:Predictor and explanatory variables for the sustainableself-employability of pre-vocational agriculture graduatesin Swaziland.
