A parent writes a story about two young fish that have a number of adventuresamong shipwrecks that are the result of a war waged by human beings on the surfaceof the sea. There are no direct references to atrocities or victims. The adventuresend in a positive solution, brought about by the clever ideas of the two fish, centredon cooperation and the objective of better understanding the heritage sites andprotecting them.2. The children reflect on these stories and express their feelings through differentactivities, such as painting and drawing.3. The older pupils build a periscope using empty milk cartons.• Possible follow-up activitiesThe UNESCO Associated School, Sterrenbos, endsits year-long project about the Great War with thecreation of a teaching kit. The kit contains readymadelesson sheets, printouts and a reading bookfor children about Blub and Blob as well as a lot ofinformation on the theme of war and underwatercultural heritage.
