The latter aspect is particularly relevant in relation to peace education.In order to realize the exhibition concept, Strandingsmuseum St George is cooperatingwith the Maritime Archaeology Programme at the University of Southern Denmark,which is based in Esbjerg. The exhibition project was the topic of an academiccourse in the spring semester of 2014. The intended outcome of the course is a fullconcept for an exhibition, which will be put together at the museum. In addition, thestudents will prepare a guidebook in several languages and related outreach materialfor different age groups.Participation of students is at the heart of the museum conceptInvolving students of a related discipline in the design and creation of a ‘real’ museumexhibition has several advantages and benefits for both the museum and theparticipating students. By making the students into ‘storytellers’ – responsible forcommunicating knowledge to other people – it was thought that the museum wouldYouth at work.
