Education<br />

Katastrofer skapar ofta <strong>en</strong> demografi med <strong>en</strong> stor andel kvinnor som<br />

försörjare av hushåll, vilket innebär att kvinnor tvingas arbeta<br />

utanför hemmet <strong>och</strong> lämna äldre döttrar att ta hand om syskon <strong>och</strong><br />

andra hushållssysslor. Detta resulterar i att flickor ofta hoppar av<br />

från katastrofutbildning. Det är därför viktigt att <strong>vid</strong> etablering av<br />

utbildningsprogram vara lyhörd för både kön<strong>en</strong>s behov eftersom det<br />

lägger grund<strong>en</strong> för <strong>en</strong> ökning av kvinnors <strong>och</strong> flickors deltagande i<br />

katastrofprogram i framtid<strong>en</strong>.<br />
