PROFESSIONAL-COMPETENT-READY Committed to serving the maritime community in a fair and<br />
equitable manner to ensure the safe, environmentally friendly and lawful<br />
use <strong>of</strong> <strong>Chatham</strong>’s maritime resources and facilities.<br />
Operations:<br />
H-26 underway to tow disabled fishing vessel from the mooring to the dock.<br />
H-25B underway to rescue a stranded kite boarder on Monomoy Island.<br />
H-26 underway to retrieve a dinghy adrift in <strong>Chatham</strong> Harbor.<br />
H-26 underway to retrieve a 14’ skiff adrift in <strong>Chatham</strong> Harbor.<br />
H-26 underway to assist in righting a sunken skiff in Ryders Cove.<br />
Performed storm preparations in advance <strong>of</strong> winter storm “Nemo”. H-25B was removed<br />
from the water and secured on its trailer. Fish Pier buildings, docks and floats were<br />
secured. Additional storm lines were added to the H-26.<br />
Portable generator brought online to provide power to the Stage Harbor <strong>of</strong>fice and<br />
bathrooms during the storm.<br />
Conducted post “Nemo” cleanup. Trees, branches, a wooden walkway, four dinghies,<br />
sea weed and other debris were removed from the dinghy dock area at the Fish Pier.<br />
Water caused by storm surge, was removed from the fuel dispensers and the fuel valve<br />
pit in the parking lot at the Fish Pier.<br />
H-26 underway in <strong>Chatham</strong> Harbor to put two (2) flags and three (3) buoys back on<br />
station which were displaced during “Nemo”. Also replaced CH-1 buoy which was lost<br />
during the storm.<br />
H-25B underway to transport insurance adjuster to Adams camp on North Beach Island<br />
during demolition.<br />
H-25B underway to retrieve a buoy on the beach at Claflin Landing.<br />
