month <strong>of</strong> February 2013 as follows:<br />
Fish Pier Leases Request for Proposals (RFP) Review and Selection Team Follow Up<br />
Engineering Services for Water Treatment Facility Request for Qualifications (RFQ) Interviews<br />
Submission Package for Crowell Road PIF to MassDOT<br />
Route 28 Buildout Analysis Work session with the Cape Cod Commission<br />
Skateboard Park Alternative Site Reviews<br />
OPERATIONS<br />
Department activities related to Operations in February 2013 included:<br />
Police Department, Annex and Community Center Buildings – Continuing coordination <strong>of</strong><br />
Preventative Maintenance (PM) activities and site issues review<br />
Coordination <strong>of</strong> multiple emergency responses/repairs and reporting <strong>of</strong> building damages<br />
associated with the “blizzard”<br />
Please see attached Facilities Crew report for maintenance activities for the month <strong>of</strong> February<br />
FACILITIES DEPARTMENT: Submitted by Chip Whalen<br />
To deliver thorough and timely service to citizens and staff in a courteous and pr<strong>of</strong>essional<br />
manner. To maintain buildings in a clean, safe condition at all times.<br />
In addition to daily routine duties (building rounds, general monitoring, preventative<br />
maintenance inspections and responses), which had to be curtailed this month due to the<br />
frequency <strong>of</strong> significant storm events, the Facilities Crew also was worked on the following<br />
specific items:<br />
Snow removal and deicing activities at <strong>Town</strong> buildings for multiple storm events over<br />
the course <strong>of</strong> the month.<br />
Troubleshooting various building issues with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing companies<br />
as result <strong>of</strong> damage/impacts from the blizzard and subsequent wind/rain event.<br />
Resolved emergency generator malfunction at the <strong>Town</strong> Hall<br />
Responded to leaking fire suppression system at <strong>Town</strong> Hall and oversaw corrective<br />
actions and testing<br />
Investigated various ro<strong>of</strong>/building leak reports associated with major wind/rain event<br />
and coordinated reviews/actions.<br />
Library wall repair construction/painting<br />
Storm preparation activities for multiple events this month.<br />
Responses to numerous alarm calls as a result <strong>of</strong> weather events over the course <strong>of</strong> the<br />
month.<br />
Assisted COA for setup and breakdown for several functions<br />
Coordinated with elevator company for Doc Keene Scout Hall<br />
