3.3. CORPORATE CITIZENSHIP INDICATORS<br />
Operations of the <strong>Groupe</strong> <strong>SEB</strong> Foundation<br />
Created in 2007 for an initial period of fi ve years, the <strong>Groupe</strong> <strong>SEB</strong> Foundation’s<br />
vocation is to combat exclusion. It supports projects to help people in<br />
diffi culty reintegrate into society, with three focuses: employment, housing<br />
<strong>and</strong> education/training. Its bylaws were renewed for another period of three<br />
years. In keeping with the previous budget, €1.8 million was allocated to the<br />
<strong>Groupe</strong> <strong>SEB</strong> Foundation. In the future, the Foundation will work to boost its<br />
international initiatives, in collaboration with the subsidiaries. Furthermore,<br />
it organises volunteer <strong>and</strong> corporate skill sponsorship initiatives with the<br />
participation of the Group’s employees.<br />
In fi ve years, the Foundation has supported 167 projects, including 84 largescale<br />
products, led by organisations with which it has developed close ties,<br />
e.g. Habitat & Humanisme, Envie, Fondation de la 2 e Chance, Fondation<br />
d’Auteuil <strong>and</strong> Agence du Don en Nature, of which <strong>Groupe</strong> <strong>SEB</strong> is a founding<br />
member. Each day, its work is enhanced through employee participation.<br />
The Foundation currently counts more than 164 volunteers <strong>and</strong> a dozen<br />
“ambassadors” at its French sites.<br />
In <strong>2011</strong>, the <strong>Groupe</strong> <strong>SEB</strong> Foundation supported 54 highly diverse projects<br />
(48 in 2010) in the context of a support budget that amounted to €550,000 in<br />
cash <strong>and</strong> €329,000 in product donations. Of these projects, 14 were new <strong>and</strong><br />
got the Group involved with various groups looking to join the labour force:<br />
young volunteers involved in civic service, students, people with disabilities,<br />
released prisoners, etc.<br />
