The Mayor’s Vision for Cycling commits<br />

to future enhancements of the scheme. It<br />

recognises the hire scheme as one of the world’s<br />

most successful, playing an important role<br />

in normalising cycling in London by enabling<br />

customers to try cycling for a minimal outlay and<br />

encouraging them to adopt cycling as a lifestyle<br />

choice. This commitment is reflected in the<br />

cycle hire vision as stated below:<br />

‘To deliver a service fit for the future, enabling<br />

Cycle Hire to adapt and grow.’<br />

Detailed layout considerations<br />

The following is an indicative checklist of things<br />

to consider when identifying a potential docking<br />

station location. Please note consultation<br />

with, and agreement by ourselves and the local<br />

planning authority will be required prior to final<br />

station location.<br />
