Liquid chillers with R134a
R134a refrigerant is a HFC (hydrofluorocarbon) gas,
without Clhoride.
It is classified as a green gas with the lowest environmental
impact having an ozone depletion potential (ODP) equals to
zero; moreover it is not toxic, it is not flammable and has a
very low GWP (Greenhouse Warming Potential) index.
R134a is a pure refrigerant gas having characteristics
making it different from all azeotropic mixtures: pressure
and temperature remain unchanged during its status
changes; from liquid status to vapour and vice versa.

It is also classified as low pressure refrigerant gas because
comparing it with R407c, at the same temperature the
pressure is definitively lower. For example at a temperature
of 50°C corresponds a pressure of 13,2 bar for R134a
against 20 bar for R407C.
For the above reasons R134a represents the solution
granting the most proper operation in installations with
high condensing temperatures.
RC GROUP liquid chillers range with R134a refrigerant
charge is very wide in terms of both units types and used
compressors.
In particular SCREW versions are equipped with high
efficiency twin screw compressors, specifically designed
to work with this refrigerant.
RC GROUP R134a liquid chillers have the same manufacturing
characteristics, optional list and microprocessor control
system as R407C units.
