you never know what size
kite to bring to the beach.
You could ride a 17m down
to a 9m in the same day.
Personally I only have a 7m
and a 10.5m so i’ve started
to learn to foil board on
light days. It’s such a great
alternative to having to
lug around a gigantic kite.
One of the instructors who

is really good at foiling so
its fun to watch and take
inspiration from. It’s really
cool to work on Long
Bay as there are five pro
riders teaching and many
others come to visit. There
are also as many women
kiting as men so the vibe
is fun, positive and motivating.
I’m so lucky to have such
a great crew I work with
who are always up for doing
things to together like
playing volleyball, snorkeling
or going out fishing.
I’ve discovered I love
fishing! It’s so much fun
to get out on a boat where
you can admire the island
from a distance and many
times see dolphins, whales
and big fish. We have a famous
dolphin here named
Jojo. He is very interactive
with people and likes to
swim up to your boat and
show off. Some times he
gets a little too close to the
propeller so his body is a
little cut up but his attitude
is like everyone here,
playful and happy. Just to
the left of Jojo’s play area
is a good spot to catch red
snapper. One day I caught
four myself and was so excited
that I wanted to go
