IKA Kiteboarding World Championships 2016
KS_The second event of the season was held in
Leucate, which is by now a historical round of
the the world tour, strong and gusty wind, often
under difficult conditions which showed on the
six first places tie in the women's podium, how
come you were not there?
There are a lot of reasons why I didn’t go to Leucate.
It was a hard decision for me not to compete
there as the world tour events are part of my life,
and who I am. Nevertheless I made the right decision
and I dont regret missing out on that one.
KS_Which are the next events and what do you
expect from the rest of the season?
I’m not really sure what’s happening in regard to
the offical freestyle world tour events, it’s a total
mess, so for now I’ve decided to join the kicker/
sliders tour (KPL Kite Park League) . Stops which
include Blue Kiteboarding in Philipines, Triple S
USA, Slider Project Usa and Rhosneigr Park Jam
in UK. For me this is something new and progressive
that I can get excited about again. Everyone
is there to have a good time and make the best of
what we have on offer, everyone is grateful that
there’s people out there putting these events
together and no one’s expecting to get rich and
famous from it. It’s a really humbling experience
going to these events and for me that’s what it
should all be about, I mean if you’re not having
fun then what’s the point?
