4. Service procedures<br />

❏ The purpose of the test run function is to let you control the operation of the unit<br />

directly without turning the unit on or off by thermostat. As indicated in the following<br />

procedure, be sure to stop test run operation when you finish the procedure, or the<br />

air conditioner may be damaged.<br />

❏ To protect the air conditioner from overloading, the outdoor unit will not start<br />

running for 3 minutes after power is applied or the unit is turned OFF.<br />

a Press the TEST / CHK button at<br />

the bottom right on the remote<br />

controller.<br />

b Press the ON / OFF operation<br />

button to start the test run.<br />

c Press the MODE button to select<br />

either COOLING or HEATING<br />

mode.<br />

d When the test run starts, “TEST”<br />

shows on the remote controller’s<br />

display.<br />

e During the test run, the air<br />

conditioner runs continuously<br />

and the thermostat does not<br />

control the system.<br />

f After the test run, be sure to<br />

press the<br />

TEST / CHK button once again<br />

to finish this mode and make<br />

sure “TEST” is not shown on the<br />

display.<br />
