KLIA Technical crowned<br />
champions at Malaysia<br />
Airports Sports <strong>2016</strong><br />
The KLIA Technical from Malaysia Airports was the<br />
champions during the airport operator's Sports Week<br />
<strong>2016</strong> held at Universiti Sains Malaysia's Health campus at<br />
Kubang Kerian, Kelantan between 1 and 5 August, recently.<br />
Organised by Kelab Sukan Malaysia Airports (KESUMA),<br />
the event saw a total of 810 Malaysia Airports staff from<br />
11 contingents taking part during the sports week.<br />
The contingents were MAHB staff from the headquarters in<br />
Sepang, KLIA Operational staff, KLIA Technical staff, KLIA<br />
Aviation Security (AVSEC), KLIA Hospitality which includes<br />
Sama-Sama Hotel and Sama-Sama Express staff, 'Utara' staff<br />
from Langkawi International Airport and Alor Setar Airport,<br />
'Barat' staff from Penang International Airport and Malaysia<br />
Airports Training Centre (MATC) Penang, 'Tengah' which<br />
includes staff from Ipoh and Melaka Airports, 'Timur' staff<br />
from Kota Bharu, Kuala Terengganu and Kuantan Airports<br />
and the Sabah and Sarawak teams which comprised staff<br />
from the airports in those states.<br />
Games held during the event were categorised for men,<br />
women, open and mixed participants. Among the games<br />
held were football, badminton, volleyball, futsal, netball,<br />
tug of war and chess. There was also a contingent marchpast<br />
category.<br />
