the main gateway for tourists to Kelantan, we recognise our
responsibility to support the growth of the tourism sector so
that the country continues to be a leading tourist destination
in the country. This support programme is under the initiative
Besides aiming to assist rural entrepreneurs to
promote local products and also promote tourism
in the state of Kelantan, the support programme
has a two-pronged goal to also foster a culture of
knowledge among communities involved.
Meanwhile, the following day, Malaysia Airports
continued its CSR work by donating RM54,000 to
three underprivileged families at Kampung Tok
Sadang and Kampung Badang at Kota Baru
under Program Sokongan Komuniti Desa.
The funds are namely for the purpose
of education, providing assistance
in maintaining a safe and secure
home while basic need items
included food, wardrobes,
kitchen equipment and other
household products. A sum of
RM500 was given to schoolgoing
children while university
students received RM1,000.
Malaysia Airports' Managing
Director, Datuk Badlisham Ghazali
said, "This donation is a sign of our
concerns as a responsible corporate
entity and is also part of our corporate social
responsibility initiatives to the local communities
where we operate. It is expected that this contribution would
encourage the heads of the family to start a new life with their
families and are also expected to motivate the children in their
families to excel in their studies thus continuing the legacy
to serve their family, religion, race and nation in the future."
