Which country do you really
want to visit in the near future?
Would love to travel to Myanmar or Greenland, both
amazing countries in their own right with rather
contrasting aspects.

}How frequently do you travel
abroad and what are some notable
destinations?
I travel at least two to three times a week. The last couple
of destinations were Turkey and Cambodia. Turkey for me
epitomises a country steeped in history and culture. It was
where the most civilisations had gone to war to control the
bridge between the European and Asian continents.
Cambodia holds many mysteries. I had my first chance to
explore the ancient Wat during a New
Year's trip with my wife and some close
friends. It was a humbling experience to
see first light of the new year touch Angkor
Wat. I also returned with the BBC to do
a couple of stories near the Cardamom
Mountains at Sri Amble. We followed
Wildlife Alliance (an NGO) who patrol the
jungles looking for illegal poachers and
loggers. I would love to go back and
explore more.
Which one is home?
Malaysia or Singapore?
At the moment Singapore is where my
wife and I live, but Malaysia always feel
like more of my home.

Eye mask for sleeping!
Sunblock, headphones and
packing bags for clothes. I
like to keep everything tidy.

do you find
most appealing
at KLIA and
klia2?
I think the train service
between the two terminals
is the best thing.
What's next in
the slew of
programmes
that have
cemented your
travel show
hosting career?
I have a show coming out near
the beginning of the new year
with Discovery Channel called
"Surviving Borneo." It is my
personal 'Bejalai' (a journey that
is as much a search within as any
outward expedition) into the
jungles of Sarawak

tribesmen.
Have you travelled to a new
destination recently which
you really enjoyed and
would like to revisit soon?
I was in Costa Rica not too long ago, it was a
really short trip though and I would absolutely
love to go again.
What do you love most about
travelling and what has
globetrotting taught you?
Being very adaptable, to have patience and to
not be fussy at how comfy you are at all times.
