Helo Cat Cafe
Why: The cafe may have only begun operating last
year, but owner Anis Khairunissa still makes sure
that a veterinarian drops by the cafe twice every
month to ensure all felines are in impeccable
condition. The cafe houses five males and two
females and this include Persian, Siamese,
British Short Hair and Long Hair breeds.
Customers need not dig deep into their pockets
to dine and play with the cats here as one only
needs to purchase a minimum of RM5 (USD1.2)
worth of food or drinks to enter the 'Cat Section'
at the cafe. However, to ensure that the cats
aren't stressed by the number of people playing
with them, a maximum number of five people
are allowed at any one time within the section.
Si Tompok Cat Cafe
Why: The cafe owner Atiqah Hassan said, "We here
at Si Tompok Cafe feel compelled to provide a
stress-free environment to visitors, or better
known as cat therapy. Customers can play and
interact with the resident cats. They can also
enjoy food and drinks in the cafe at the dining
area which is of course separated from the cat
house. "Also, the cafe is proving to be a hit as
We are planning on opening a hotel for cats
due to the demands of cat boarding especially
during the festive seasons. Si Tompok Cafe is
open between Tuesday and Sunday from
10:30am till 10:30pm.
