The National Library Service for the Blind and Physically
Handicapped offers a free national library program providing
braille and recorded materials to persons who cannot see
regular print or handle print materials. Patrons are loaned
playback equipment free of charge for use with talking books

Native American Aging

The National Resource Center on Native American Aging is
committed to identifying Native elder health and social issues.
Through education, training, and technical assistance, we assist
in developing community-based solutions to improve the quality

National Social Life, Health
and Aging Project & NORC at the
University of Chicago

The National Social Life, Health, and Aging Project (NSHAP) is
a NIA-funded, nationally representative, longitudinal study of
community-dwelling older adults in the U.S., carried out by
NORC at the University of Chicago every five years since 2005.
Survey and biomeasure data are publicly available through
ICPSR and facilitate cutting-edge research on the well-being and
social worlds of older adults. Wave 3 reinterviewed Wave 1 and
2 respondents and their partners, plus a new cohort of baby
