The public has been found to have deeply held beliefs about older<br />

adults that significantly differ from those of aging experts. Over<br />

the last year, the FrameWorks Institute has developed and tested<br />

alternative ways to frame conversations about aging and older<br />

adults that create a more receptive platform for aging policy and<br />

service discussions. This session will review the findings from a<br />

study, which revealed that alternative framing is more effective in<br />

generating a more balanced thinking by the public.<br />

Services, prosecutors, police, ombudsmen, social service programs,<br />
