<strong>Program</strong>s and Supportive Housing Sites<br />

Partnerships with nursing programs and supportive housing<br />

settings provide an opportunity to explore the wide range of<br />

benefits for future nurses as well as older adults living in<br />

community. This session will chronicle a five-year collaboration<br />

with Hebrew SeniorLife and Curry College School of Nursing,<br />

along with Simmons School of Nursing. The session will focus<br />

on planning, implementation and evaluation of this dynamic<br />

intergenerational program.<br />

Neighborhood Provider Collaborative<br />

Learn about the Baltimore Neighborhood Provider Collaborative<br />

formed by three organizations, the focus of which is to build<br />

upon each organization’s strengths, share resources and fill the<br />

gaps in wraparound services to benefit the health, wellness and<br />

care coordination of chronically ill older adults, enabling them to<br />

live independently in their communities for as long as possible.<br />

Small Grant in Aging Services<br />

program in aging services. The workshop will focus on how to<br />

find small community funders and to how to work with volunteers<br />

to write your proposal and work with grants management.<br />

Demand for home-based services is growing and resources are<br />

constrained. Consequently, community organizations are<br />

exploring partnerships with healthcare providers and payers to<br />

provide additional services with a goal of improving outcomes and<br />

lowering costs. Learn how Meals on Wheels organizations are<br />

defining their value by assessing client’s health outcomes and<br />

healthcare utilization, understanding program capabilities and<br />

defining the healthcare landscape in efforts to foster partnerships.<br />

TU237 The Benefits of an Integrative<br />

Memory Enhancement <strong>Program</strong><br />

This session will explain what an integrative memory enhancement<br />

program is and who might benefit. It includes information<br />

on the various healing modalities and therapeutic components<br />

that support overall brain and body health. Information about<br />

aging and strategies to improve mental abilities will be included.<br />

TU239 Developing Marketing Communication<br />

Plans for Selling Evidence-Based <strong>Program</strong>s<br />

With much public emphasis on the development of evidencebased<br />

programs for older adults and family caregivers, there have<br />

been few resources available to educate service providing<br />

agencies and consumers about the availability of these programs.<br />

This workshop focuses on best practices for taking evidencebased<br />

programs to the marketplace through the development and<br />

implementation of marketing communication plans.<br />

TU241 STEP Speed Mentoring: Individual Mentoring<br />

3:00 PM | Skyway 260 (East Tower, Blue Level)<br />

The Students and Emerging Professionals Network presents an<br />

opportunity for Speed Mentoring at ASA. In this session,<br />

mentors and mentees meet for at least two rotations, giving<br />

mentees an opportunity to meet at least two potential mentors.<br />

Mentees will have the opportunity to practice their self-introductions<br />

and be clear about their objectives for potential<br />

mentoring. Participants must have completed a short survey to<br />

confirm participation in this limited-space event<br />
