Fig. 10. we observed and collected this species at a single locale, the saddle above grapevine Spring Canyon on north-facing slopes at 1357 m elevation. Fewer than 10 individuals were noted at this site. Our collection was from a plant about six meters tall with a trunk diameter (dBH) of 40 cm. Cones were present on the ground. Hovezak’s collection appears to have been made about 0.8 km northwest of ours at 1433 meters.
