Christy 1482 was previously determined as Stephanomeria exigua Nutt. Based on characters
of the pappus, length of involucre, and branching pattern, it conforms to S. pauciflora.
Stephanomeria exigua has been collected (White 527 at CAS) ca. 5 miles north of Union Pass (the
northern border of our flora area) and likely also occurs in the southern Black Mountains.
