HIGH-VISCOSITY OIL GRADES WITH CARBONATE RESERVOIRS, AS WELL
AS “COLD” TECHNOLOGIES THAT USE OIL-DISPLACING COMPOUNDS
WITH CONTROLLED VISCOSITY AND ALKALINITY HAVING A LOW
NATURAL DEVELOPMENT REGIME, FLOODING, STEAM CYCLING AND IN
THE AREA OF STEAM INJECTION IN 2014-2016 ARE PRESENTED. THE
TECHNOLOGIES PROVED THEIR HIGH EFFICIENCY, WHICH MANIFESTED
IN REDUCED WATER CUT, INCREASED OIL PRODUCTION RATES,
AND INTENSIFIED DEVELOPMENT. THEY WERE RECOMMENDED FOR
INDUSTRIAL USE. PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL TECHNOLOGIES WERE
COMPLICATIONS IN RECOVERABLE RESERVES DEVELOPED IN EXTREME
CLIMATIC CONDITIONS OF NORTHERN REGIONS, INCLUDING DEPOSITS
WITH CARBONATE RESERVOIRS THAT CONTAINING HEAVY, HIGHLY
The share of hydrocarbons,
concentrated in carbonate
reservoirs, plays an increasingly
important role in the global balance
of energy – most new fields
belong to this category. Carbonate
reservoirs are present in the fields of
the Persian Gulf basin, oil and gas
basins of the USA and Canada, in
the the Caspian basin. They contain
42% of oil reserves and 23% of gas
reserves [1 – 3].
Recent decades of development
of oil industry in Russia have been
characterized with deterioration
in the structure of oil reserves.
Particular attention has increasingly
been paid to the problem of
development of oil deposits in
carbonate reservoirs that contain
increased viscosity and high
viscosity oil. As of today, oil reserves
associated with carbonate reservoirs
with viscous and highly viscous
oil in them comprise over 30% of
all reserves explored in the world.
In Russia, oil reserves in such
reservoirs comprise over 50%, in
Udmurtia, it is 70% [3].
About 40% of residual reserves of
GPN, which is almost 600 million
tons of hydrocarbons, are contained
in carbonate reservoirs [1]. The
major assets with such deposits are
the Eastern section of the Orenburg
field, the Kuyumbinskoe field and
the Chonskoye field in the Eastern
Siberia, the Badra project in Iraq,
the Prirazlomnoye field on the
Caspian shelf. The current ways and
methods of development of fields
with carbonate reservoirs based on
