Neighboring country power purchases<br />

There are 4 projects of neighboring country power purchases with the total<br />

capacity of 3,316 MW which already have PPAs with EGAT to be online during year <strong>2015</strong>-<br />

2019. The details are shown in Table 5.3.<br />

5.6 <strong>Thailand</strong> <strong>Power</strong> <strong>Development</strong> <strong>Plan</strong> <strong>2015</strong>-<strong>2036</strong> (PDP<strong>2015</strong>)<br />

According to the aforementioned frameworks, the <strong>Thailand</strong> <strong>Power</strong> <strong>Development</strong><br />

<strong>Plan</strong> <strong>2015</strong>-<strong>2036</strong> (PDP<strong>2015</strong>) can be summarized as follows: the total capacity at the end plan<br />

(year <strong>2036</strong>) would be 70,335 MW comprising the existing capacity (as of year 2014) of 37,612<br />

MW, the new capacity added during year <strong>2015</strong>-<strong>2036</strong> of 57,459 MW, and the capacity of<br />

24,736 MW which would be retired during year <strong>2015</strong>-<strong>2036</strong>.<br />
