Lakhdeep Singh
RESTAURANT MANAGER
What’s the dish on the menu you are most
excited about?
How can I say no to anything? Damn Asian
flavours – you beaut! But out of all the dishes,
I just can’t wait for the vegetarian options on
our menu – they look delish!
What motivates you?
Bring on the good vibes and I’ve got tons of
good times. Positivity is my herbal syrup.
What is your biggest addiction?
Travelling to new cities and eating, and eating.
We do this several times a year and we are
lucky our addiction has become our living.
It constantly inspires us to make new spots
in the rebuild which hopefully Cantabs love
going to with family and friends. Already we
are planning the next spot, so I guess creating
new restaurant concepts is our addiction, too.
What do you do to relax?
Snuggle up on sofa with a glass of wine
(although I’m seven months pregnant so
recently it’s been coconut water) and browse
through food magazines/recipe books for
inspiration of what I can cook.
What is one food you wouldn’t want
to give up?
That’s a hard question as, like Sally
mentioned, we love to travel and eat and
eat, but if I had to choose just one, it would
have to be the obvious answer of dumplings!
What fortune would you want to get
from a fortune cookie?
I believe that we are pretty fortunate living
here in this city with so many opportunities
to help grow, but my favourite: Wise
husband is one who thinks twice before
saying nothing.
