CHARCOAL IS THE NEW BLACK
Activated charcoal was originally sold in organic stores for its
health benefits, mainly to cleanse the system. It’s now served
in numerous varieties, from cold-press juices to tarts. One
of our favourite cafés, Uncommon, even offers a buttermilkfried
chicken burger, which is wedged between an activated
charcoal and coconut bun. We can’t get enough of the stuff,
which is also said to miraculously cure hangovers.
