Harputlu Ishâk Effendi explains how the Bible - the true book revealed to Isa 'alaihis-salam - was distorted; how words that belonged to people were put into firstly written four Gospels; that the theory of trinity is erroneous; the belief of Tawhid (the unity of Allahu ta’ala) in Islam. Besides, a few very precious letters - a food of a soul by Muhammad Ma’sûm-î Fârûkî - take place. Information about Judaism, Torah and Talmud is also given.

Today’s eccentricities the Messenger foretold;<br />

Said: “My follower shall be so lonesome one day;<br />

Every home shall be loud with music, adhân heard no more;<br />

No ’âlim anywhere, the ignorant shall come to the fore!<br />

Believers shall be miserable, disbelievers a Solomon each,<br />

Every man a servant of his wife, woman commanding in the home;<br />

Tall buildings shall be built, like a dog’s teeth:<br />

Travelling shall be so fast, distance no longer a matter.<br />

The intellect shall find many things, yet mankind sound asleep.<br />

Birgivî [1] wrote in his book, as many hadîths foretold:<br />

Signs of the world’s end shall appear, one after another;<br />

The most famous of these signs; many a person shall be drunk.<br />

People quite unaware of Islam shall be called ’Ulamâ.<br />

The cruel shall be honoured, to ward off his harm.<br />

Shamelessness on the increase, cuckolds wandering,<br />

The basest of mankind in Moscow, issuing orders.<br />

Everyone an ’âlim to himself, Muslim shall be called ‘rough.’<br />

Few shall tell the truth, liars talking all the time.<br />

A person shall be praised much, though having no îmân in his heart:<br />

Men, like women, shall wear silk clothes shamelessly.<br />

Wealth, adultery shall be arts, boys used for girls:<br />

Women shall be tightly dressed, legs, bosoms in the open.<br />

Fitna shall prevail all over, manslaughter for nothing.<br />

Bid’at shall be widespread, no one to obey the sunnats.<br />

People lacking moral sense, like Dajjâl, shall invent thousands of lies,<br />

Should a person tell the truth, they shall assail from all directions.<br />

Men shall be unaware of Islam, and women shall be eccentric:<br />

Emr-i-ma’rûf shall be forgotten, charlatans advertising sins.<br />

Islam shall be criticised, harâms shall be committed everywhere,<br />

Being a Muslim shall be in words only, melodies enjoyed in the name of Qur’ân.<br />

The Believer shall be called reactionary, the renegade shall be backed:<br />

All these shall certainly happen before the crack of doom.<br />

Dajjâl, the grand prognostication, shall appear in Khorasan;<br />

Then Îsâ shall descend from heaven, to a mosque in Damascus.<br />

A hadîth says, “Of my daughter Fâtima’s descendants, a youth<br />

Named Mehdi shall appear, and his father shall be named Abdullah.<br />
