me the character of the issues <strong>and</strong> conflicts of that<br />

meeting. She would say, At that meeting there are<br />

going to be such <strong>and</strong> such movements, <strong>and</strong> if I<br />

attend, I shall have to bear strong testimony of<br />

reproof. She presented the dangers that might arise<br />

from the wrong views of the medical men, <strong>and</strong> the<br />

dangers to arise from the wrong views of General<br />

Conference men. And she would outline the<br />

positions she would be obliged to take at the<br />

meeting.<br />

Often I was impatient to get away to the office<br />

<strong>and</strong> resume my regular work, but I felt that it was<br />

for a purpose that she related these matters to me,<br />

end so I offered the silent prayer, "Lord, help me to<br />

remember these things, so if at any time I ought to<br />

know them, they will come clearly to mind," As a<br />

result I had before the meeting a clear outline of<br />

the course she intended to follow at the General<br />

Conference.<br />

When the General Conference was called,<br />
