A Sure Basis of Beliefs
Written in 1907.
"Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's
porch. Then came the Jews round about him, and
said unto him, How long dost thou make us doubt?
If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly. Jesus answered
them, I told you, and ye believed not; the works
that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of
me.' (John. 10:23-25)
Our attitude toward the serious charges that
some are preferring against the writings of Mrs. E.
G. White, must first be, of necessity a personal one.
When we meet with things hard to be understood in
connection with the Spirit of Prophecy, we are
compelled to cast about for some sure foundation
on which to anchor our faith and future believe in
the divine source of these writings.
